About Us

The first and second wave of Covid-19 had a catastrophic impact in Nashik and elsewhere all over the world. The death of a parent due to a pandemic like Covid-19 or due to any other natural calamity, has a profound impact on the education of the children in the family. DivyaChetna Social Foundation was founded in June 2021, with the sole objective to ensure that education of such children does not get impacted due to the loss of their parent(s).

Divyachetna Social Foundation has been giving financial support by way of school-colleges fees payment, distributing stationery and uniforms, counselling and career guidance to the children and imparting skill development and entrepreneurship development training to surviving parent and make them self-reliant. In short, the foundation identifies such students and takes responsibility to educate and train them and assist them on to their career path.

Experts from various fields and individuals with a deep commitment towards the community have come together to shoulder the responsibility of this organization. Divyachetna Social Foundation is registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act and is governed by it’s byelaws. The foundation has received Income Tax Act 80G certificate.

Till date, over 125 students from Nashik district have been assisted through the organization by providing for their school/college fees, books and stationery, uniform etc. till the time they are undergoing their education.

Divyachetna not only takes care of the students but also provides employment training to women, help them get employment, provides capital to start businesses, etc. so that the families who have lost their earning member due to Covid can again become self-reliant.  Divyachetna is strongly connected with these COVID families to provide the much-needed support.

The scope of work of the Foundation is growing. More families are getting connected for support. On average the aid required for one child over a year is around Rs. 20000/-.

We appeal you to participate in this social activity. We feel you could take responsibility of one child for the next 5 years. For this, we request you to donate Rs. 20,000 to Divyachetna every year for the educational help of the students.
